Graduate Defensive Security Consultant
Step into the frontline of cyber defence and help investigate, contain, and understand real‑world security incidents.
Kickstart your IT career with itm8’s Graduate Program – an 18‑month journey accelerating your professional and personal development. From day one, you take on responsibility and become part of a strong community that succeeds together.
Do you want to join a journey where you both learn and deliver? As a Graduate at itm8, you become part of a fast‑growing IT company with ambition and heart. We give you the framework to grow – and the space to influence your own direction.
The program is structured with training, mentoring, study trips, and hands‑on tasks. You will be based at our office in Nordhavn, but as part of the program, you will also participate in activities across our Danish locations.
Your role
As a Graduate in Digital Forensics & Incident Response, you will be part of a team that helps customers navigate complex security incidents and uncover what really happened. We work closely together, we share knowledge openly, and we take pride in bringing clarity to high‑pressure situations. You take on a role with influence – and the chance to grow into a trusted security consultant.
As a Defensive Security Graduate, your tasks will include:
Contributing to the development of playbooks, detection rules, and analysis methods.
Writing structured investigation reports and presenting findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Working with tools like Velociraptor, KAPE, Wireshark, YARA, and the ELK Stack.
Supporting incident response and digital investigations of security events.
Performing artefact analysis on Windows and Linux systems (e.g., event logs, registry, memory dumps, network captures).
We’re looking for a teamm8 who
Has completed a relevant professional bachelor’s or master’s degree within the past year – for example in information security, computer science, cyber systems or similar. You bring ambition, energy and a collaborative mindset. You thrive with responsibility and want to create real value with us.
We’re also looking for someone who:
Understands operating systems, networks and how compromises typically unfold.
Is curious about – or experienced with – SIEM, EDR and log‑analysis tools.
Can script to automate analysis tasks (Python, PowerShell or Bash).
Is interested in threat actors, malware behaviour and IOCs.
Communicates clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Stays calm and structured in complex situations – and documents precisely, even under pressure.
Works analytically, systematically and with a creative mindset when searching for evidence.
